Moodify Privacy Policy

Introduction:

Welcome to Moodify. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use our AI image-generating Android application. By using the App, you consent to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

A1.) Account Information
When you register or sign in, we collect:

• - Email address (via email/password registration).

• - Google account information — name, profile photo, and email address — if you sign in with Google via Firebase Authentication.

B1.) Profile and Social Content
When you interact with the Moodify social features (Explore, Viral Templates, follow/following), we collect and store:

• - Display name and profile photo (avatar) you set or grant us from your Google account.

• - Posts, AI-generated images, and videos you choose to publish to the Explore feed.

• - Comments, likes, and replies you make on posts.

• - Follow relationships between accounts.

• - Notifications triggered by social interactions (likes, comments, follows, reposts).

All published content is uploaded to Firebase Storage and associated with your account. You may delete your posts at any time.

C1.) Photos, Videos, and Media You Process
When you use AI features (Photo Enhancer, Magic Eraser, Background Removal, AI Cartoon, AI Baby Generator, Text to Image, Image to Video, AI Art Effects, AI Selfie, Image to Anime, AI Avatars, Viral Templates, or the Live Camera):

• - Photos and videos are temporarily processed on-device or transmitted to third-party AI processing APIs (WaveSpeed AI, Replicate) to generate AI results.

• - Your images may be sent to these APIs in base64-encoded form over encrypted HTTPS connections for generation tasks.

• - Generated AI outputs are stored locally on your device unless you choose to publish them to the Explore feed.

• - We do not permanently store your original photos on our servers.

D1.) Facial and Biometric Data
Certain features of Moodify AI use on-device machine learning to process facial data:

• - Face Detection (Google ML Kit): Used for AI Baby, AI Selfie, and face-aware photo editing. Processing happens entirely on-device. No facial data is sent to our servers.

• - Face Mesh Detection (Google ML Kit): Used by the Live Camera feature for AR face filters and real-time cartoon effects. Processing happens entirely on-device.

• - Selfie Segmentation (Google ML Kit): Used for Background Removal and subject isolation. Processing happens entirely on-device.

• - Text Recognition (Google ML Kit): Used for text-aware editing features. Processing happens entirely on-device.

IMPORTANT: The above on-device AI processing never transmits raw facial images or biometric templates to Moodify Brands or any third party. All facial analysis occurs locally on your device.

E1.) Camera and Microphone Access
When you use the Live Camera feature, the app accesses your device camera in real time. Camera frames are processed locally on-device for AR effects. No camera frames are uploaded or recorded without your explicit action.

F1.) Device and Usage Information
We may collect:

• - Device type, OS version, and unique device identifiers.

• - App usage statistics, session times, feature interactions, and in-app navigation events.

• - Attribution data (how you discovered and installed the app), collected via AppsFlyer.

• - Advertising identifiers for personalized ad delivery.

G1.) Push Notification Token
When you grant notification permission, a Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) device token is generated and stored in your user profile on Firebase. This token is used exclusively to deliver in-app social notifications (likes, comments, follows). It is cleared from our servers when you log out.

H1.) In-App Purchase and Subscription Data
The app offers a Free Plan and Pro subscriptions (Weekly, Monthly, Yearly, Lifetime). All payment transactions are processed exclusively by Google Play Billing. We do not collect, store, or have access to your credit card or payment details. Upon a successful purchase, we receive a purchase confirmation from Google and update your Pro status and credit balance in Firebase Firestore.

2. How We Use Your Information

• - To provide and maintain all AI-powered editing features.

• - To authenticate your account securely via Firebase Authentication.

• - To power the Explore social feed, including posts, likes, comments, follows, and notifications.

• - To process Pro subscription purchases and manage credits via Google Play Billing.

• - To improve app features, fix bugs, and analyze usage via Firebase Analytics and AppsFlyer attribution.

• - To deliver push notifications for social interactions via Firebase Cloud Messaging.

• - To show relevant advertisements to free-tier users via Google AdMob and its mediation partners.

• - To attribute app installs and marketing campaigns via AppsFlyer.

• - To respond to support requests and communicate service changes.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

• - With advertising partners listed in Section 3, to serve ads to free-tier users (you may limit ad personalization via your device settings).

• - If required by applicable law, court order, or valid legal process.

• - In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, where your data would remain subject to this Privacy Policy.

5. Data Retention

• - Account and profile data is retained as long as your account is active.

• - Published posts and content are stored until you delete them or your account is deleted.

• - Original photos processed by AI features are not retained on our servers after processing is complete.

• - Advertising identifiers are retained as permitted by applicable advertising laws.

• - You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at contact@moodifyai.com.

6. Children's Privacy

Moodify AI is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it promptly. 7. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• - Access the personal data we hold about you.

• - Request correction or deletion of your data.

• - Withdraw consent at any time by uninstalling the app or contacting us.

• - Opt out of personalized advertising via your Android device's ad settings (Settings > Google > Ads).

• - Limit AppsFlyer data collection by enabling "Limit Ad Tracking" on your device.

8. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information, including:

• - Firebase Authentication with encrypted credential storage.

• - HTTPS/TLS encryption for all network communications.

• - Firebase Security Rules to restrict access to user data.

• - Role-based access so users can only access their own data.

However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy and Terms of Service from time to time. Any changes will be reflected with a new effective date at the top of this document. We will notify you of significant changes via a notification in the app or an updated in-app prompt. Continued use of Moodify AI after any modifications constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
